Scout Self-Defense Achievement Program
The SS-DAP consists of six - 45 minute classes over three weeks (two classes per week). This unique program (exclusive to the Boy & Girl Scouts) trains your scout in age appropriate realistic self-defense in an exciting, fun class with elite martial arts educators.

Scheduling is customized and done over the phone or in person by visiting us. We want to provide an easy and convenient registration process. As most parents have told us, they want their scout to train with friends within their pack/troop. So we're asking the Leader to contact us to set up dates and times for those interested.
NOTE: Due to summer ending and hundreds of Boy and Girl Scouts have been contacting us so we must set up groups NOW as space is very limited.

How many scouts can train at once?
We can host on average 150 kids at a time on our mat.
Can you train a pack of 100 scouts?
YES! We have unit leaders who have offered their facilities to use as training locations for this program.
What are the class dates and times?
We originally offered a wide range of dates and times, however with over 100 calls from parents asking for the scouts to train together with their friends; we now know setting up all the dates and times must be done with the unit leader so he/she can let all the pack members know.
Where are you located?
We're conveniently located in Brick and Toms River. We're able to use multiple facilities to accommodate all Scouts. Basically, we can come to you.
What will my scout learn and do?
Your scout will learn age appropriate - effective self-defense tactics. Don't let words scare you. This is a safe self-defense program that's highly effective. It'll also help bring out the high character all children posses; such as respect, great manners and patience. All while improving their confidence, attention span and giving them achievable goals.
What type of martial arts is this?
This is a complete martial art style (system) and is considered one of the world's leading martial arts & self-defense styles; Universal Martial System (known as UMS). An American martial arts style founded in 1981 and the first known complete mixed martial art style...ever. Meaning; a very advanced mixed martial art.
Who will teach my scout?
Your scout will be taught by 5x Hall of Fame Inductee, 3x United States Instructor of the Year and Master; Shihan Daniel Levi (the International Chief Instructor & highest rank in UMS). Shihan Levi is a remarkable instructor and martial artist with over 37 years experience, who prides himself as an educator within the martial arts. Shihan Levi is assisted by his Elite Black Belt Instructors for this program.
